While Judge’s started in 1955, commercial laundry operations began in 1957. For the next two decades, the company evolved into a purely commercial laundry and dry cleaner, also expanding into related industries such as rental apparel and housekeeping supplies.
During the 80’s and 90’s dry cleaning became a more prominent aspect of the business, but as that industry slowed after 2001, commercial cleaning continued to pick up. In 2004 the company focused their operations solely on healthcare. Hospitals and clinics throughout the area were happy to have a cleaner dedicated to their industry, and the company expanded its capabilities in this area to meet that demand.
In early 2009, the ownership developed a board of directors to oversee the company and ensure Judge’s will flourish long into the future. Under their leadership, a major expansion and investment into new technologies is underway.
Today, after starting out with just two employees and a single location, the company employs more than 55 people. Facilities cover more than 32,000 square feet plus include a fleet of trucks to deliver linen products.
